Choose your role in this new kind of play where all the world's a stage. This is not only a play of spectacle, but a play of playing in a quest for progressive conscious & civil evolution.

I am not dead serious, but "life serious". Like all quests, Viridia, & The Viridian REVELution must first exist as a concept to be molded into the zeitgeist.

I am fully aware of how crazy I sound (i.e. starting a 'revolution, which envisions a idyllic existence,) but haven't many, if not most people who made significant changes in this world sounded absolutely loony at first? (i.e. Columbus defying the earth as flat, JFK saying 'Let's Go to the moon', Tesla proposing his wireless technology, etc, etc.

I know what I sound like, that's why I have to stop writing this & get back to manifesting it. Talk is cheap, but the way of action silences dream crashers. I need dream catchers, not crashers. My view is that if we can go to the moon in 10 years, then we can build a sustainable renewable energy economy based in permaculture & conscious consumption within the same amount of time. I don't think we can do it without strong leadership. I think I can do something to help that along, so why not try?

The distractions, entertainments & psycho candy of our present DeathCULTure bores me & I hope it's meaningless nattering bores a few others who will choose to follow this muse with me.

While the U.S. pays attention to sports, ships industry over seas in exchange for cheap crap to sell to an obese citizenry & tries to bomb people into democracy, more forward thinking countries are kicking our butts in terms of renewable energy development. Our corporate Greedership is killing America. Money lobbies control Washington, & as long as it does, corporations will glust us toward the same decadent fate that collapsed every empire of history.

I've embedded a few history lessons & connections to the American Revolution in the script that underlies this art experiment in an effort to educate participants & audiences on challenges in our national past & how they were met.

Our forefathers who fought for the freedom that has given us the fertile ground of liberty in which to sow intelligence that has taken us to our modern age, left us many examples by which we may correct ourselves when, like all children do, we go astray from the paths that would otherwise guide us in perpetual health & protection from tangents that would cause us ills. I opine that we find ourselves very much in the place from which our forefathers deemed it necessary to throw off the shackles of their motherland.

We are under a new sort of taxation without representation. We have not come to recognize this old foe for what it is. This tax comes not from government, but from forces that operate outside the democratic process for which our forefathers fought.

Who is this enemy & how are they taxing us without giving representation under law?

In a very real way, Them is us, or at least it is us supporting them (them being the corporations who buy & sell influence & politicos in Washington. Who gives them this power? We do.. We the unconscious consumers.

The bottom line is that we can no longer afford enemies. A revolution in consciousness is the only way to change all this. Enemies cause battle & murder which is the antithesis of the life, liberty & pursuit of happiness we seek.

What of this enemy that taxes us without providing representation. Just as we fought King George because he deemanded the fruits of American labor without giving a voice to the colonies in parliament, so do many large American & multi-national corporations secretly tax the citizens of this nation & many others by using the natural resources of lands over which they get or are given access to make products which profit them without a full monetary accounting for the value of the natural resources they take (yet did not create (i.e. natural resources means that no man created or can re-create them).

That's just tax number one. Tax number two is the excrement of the transmutation of said resources in making whatever product is being sold. Where is your representation in this?

This is not a war on people. This is a fight against a culture..DeathCULTure.

SO how will we stop injustice when we find it? We will make history by forming the conditions for a bloodless rEvolution of action through discourse in the capturing of undiscovered pastures of a new sort of land & from this new "landing" we can pitch our tents & rid ourselves of the enemy within which set men against each other in external battles which spill blood forming an unbroken chain of perpetual war.

We will seek to capture the mental pastures which lie fallow & dormant. From this place we will find that we have no need for war to accomplish our goals, because within this selfsame mental territory the reasons for war are eliminated, because we find the ways by which we can provide for ourselves thereby eliminating the reasons for which wars are fought.Wars are always fought over real or perceived shortages or ideaology.

Therefore we seek to abolish our destructive mental states; or more correctly in citing the process put forth in our manifesto, to replace it with power emanated by a mental 'land' which lies beyond the current frontier of the 10% of the land mass we are using within our brains. What of the 90% dormant, unmapped areas of the brain? Might we set out to expand their & experiment with new types of think tanks dedicated to solving our macro problems? Here's my first idea along those lines... The United Mental States of Viridia..

   I know this whole REVELution plan is highly conceptual. Consider this. When an automaker wants to try to advance vehicle manufacture, what do they do? They make a concept car. The concept car attempts to integrate as many of the latest technologies into one design. After the prototype is complete, the automaker goes into mass production with only the elements that survive overall testing, which includes what consumers are capable of accepting & affording in the marketplace. I see myself as doing something similar with this project. I'm trying to keep up with all of the creativity that is flowing out of me concerning this overall concept which initially grew out of the "Conscious Consumers' concept. which sprang from my near death experience. Many of these ideas have emerged in an almost automatic sense. I begin writing & the energy of creativity takes over. I've heard of automatic writing before, & I think this is what has happened to me concerning a lot of the work I am doing on this project. All my life I've chased the muse, & now a muse is chasing me! Some of the latest brain maps indicate that creativity happens in the upper right temporal lobe. This area of my brain that was affected by a massive hematoma when a congenital aneurysm in my occipital region burst in February '04. So in a way, I guess this was all fate. So I will continue to materialize these mental concepts as long as they seem capable of doing some good in a world I have always seen as able to be better than it currently is. So, that's the quest. The methodology for accomplishing it is laid out in The Viridian Declaration of INTERdependence & The CONSIDERstitution of The United Mental States of Viridia. I'm no megalomaniac. I'm too lazy to even be a maniac, never mind a mega one! I don't want anybody to drink the purple cool-aid or drop all modern technology & follow me into the woods with my army of flying monkeys. I propose higher, cleaner technology & I would want any leadership role I may fall ass-backwards into to end as soon as my REFORMance art project gains momentum. As commander in Chief of the 'Knights of The Sphere Cabal' I declare myself commander of nothing & Chief of less. I don't believe that a Utopia is achievable in this world, as there are too many humans here. I only propose ways we can do better, & maybe be little more nice to each other & the natural world which physically cradles & feeds us. Utopia is God's domain. Hades appears to be ours. Let's start walking up the bardos of the inferno we've begun building & towards the few flickers of light that still shine.
